Water Bath and Sonicator |
Check weekly for sufficient water levels and for contamination. Remove all water, clean with IPA and replace water along with antibiotics at least once/month. |

CO2 Tanks |
Check the CO2 tanks weekly on Friday. Order new tanks and change over when necessary. |

Incubator |
Check weekly for unlabeled cultures, old cultures (>2 weeks) and cultures with visible contamination. Also change water in water pans (with DI water) and make sure incubator is not alarming. Move everything to other incubator, wipe down with IPA and change water pans. Wait an hour for vapor to dissipate before moving everything back. Change filter when necessary. |

Check weekly and make 70% Ethanol, 70% IPA, 10% Bleach and 7x cleaning solution and fill all squirt/spray bottles when necessary. |

Frozen Aliquots |
Check weekly, order and aliquot HS, FBS and Pen/Strep when necessary. Make up plating media for initial dilution of neonatal rat cardiomyocyte isolation. |

Check boxes and sharps container weekly. Close up the sharps box and the Pasteur pipette jug and replace when necessary. |

Sterilization |
Run all items in the sterilizing bin through the sterilizer weekly. Ensure neonate cardiomyocyte isolation stuff if sterilized by day of isolation |

Check weekly on the level of 1ml, 2ml, 5ml, 10ml and 25ml pipettes, 15ml and 50ml centrifuge tubes, 20ul, 200ul and 1ml pipette tips and 6-well plates. Make sure drawers and shelves are full in the TC room and make sure more get ordered if needed. |

Glassware |
Weekly put away drying glassware and put down new bench paper in the drying area. Generally clean sink area. |

Weekly check through the refrigerator for old or unlabeled items. Everything should be labeled with a name and date at the minimum. |
